Kamloops Heritage Railway - The Armstrong Explorer
The Kamloops Heritage Railway runs a truly magnificent excursion from Kamloops to Armstrong and back, called the Armstrong Explorer. With a beautifully restored Canadian National steam engine, No. 2141, and its vintage passenger train the Armstrong Explorer takes you back in time providing a classic railroad adventure.
We take you to Kamloops, BC, where we watch the 2141 prepare the day before the Armstrong excursion, and follow the Kelowna Pacific as they transport her to Campbell Creek. Then on Saturday we don’t miss any of the action as we follow the 2141 and her train from Campbell Creek, through the communities of Monte Lake, Westwold, and Falkland before arriving in Armstrong. Then we make our way back to Campbell Creek where the 2141 completes her 115 mile round trip. The Kamloops Heritage Railway doesn’t fail to impress in the Armstrong Explorer and this is truly a must see for any steam fan.
Bonus Features:
Deleted Scenes: Fifteen minutes of extra footage from the excursion to Armstrong as well as the Kelowna Pacific transporting the 2141 and her train from Kamloops to Campbell Creek the day before the excursion
Notch Hill in 7 Minutes: A quick look at Notch Hill on Canadian Pacific’s Shuswap Sub
