Canadian Pacific Heart of the Rockies
Canadian Pacific in the heart of Canada's spectacular Rocky Mountains, between Field, BC and Exshaw, AB. Stunning scenery, snow covered mountains in some superb weather. In addition to CP's action red SD90MAC's and AC44CW's, we caught a rare Canadian National detour train, the Rocky Mountaineer, and CP's beautiful restored F units on a publicity run of the Royal Canadian Pacific. We take a look at the Spiral Tunnels and a good look at one of the most spectacular rail fan location on the continent, Morants Curve.

Canadian Pacific's Mountain Sub & Rogers Pass
The descriptions “superb, magnificent, and overwhelming” even though vastly overused cannot adequately do justice to the scenery on CP’s Mountain SUB< THE LINE OVER Rogers Pass. The line runs though the Rockies and the Selkirks and is a formidable barrier even to today’s high tech high horsepower locomotives. AC4400CW’s and SD90MAC’s challenge the grades, and big as they are, are dwarfed by the magnificent snow covered peaks. The sub runs from Filed to Revelstoke, British Columbia, through some of the most spectacular scenery on the continent. All the famous locations, including the old and new Stoney Creek bridges, and the Mount MacDonald and Shaugnessy tunnels.
