Events Schedule Updated – May 12th, 2013

Our busy spring season is complete! Thank you for all the support as we visited Burnaby, Kamloops, Nanaimo, and Calgary AB all in one month! Our events schedule has been updated with shows in Victoria and Burnaby coming up in the fall! We may potentially be adding a show in Chilliwack and Edmonton AB, so stay tuned for more details!

Elevation Media makes donation to
Nelson Electric Tramway Society - February 10th, 2013

Elevation Media is proud to announce that they have donated $100 to the Nelson Electric
Tramway Society. The society operates a streetcar on Nelson’s waterfront (which can be seen in Elevation Media’s newest release the Kootenay Valley Railway) and is a volunteer
driven society.
 
Operations were effected immensely during their 2012 season as
flooding and high water levels forced the society to open their season much
later than anticipated. This caused the society to lose a large amount of
revenue which helps maintain the line and the streetcar. Eventually the
volunteers raised approximately 700 feet of track so they could begin operations

NEW RELEASE! The Kootenay Valley Railway: The Land of Mountains, Rivers, and EMD's - November 12th, 2012

Elevation Media is proud to announce our newest release... The Kootenay Valley Railway: The Land of Mountains, Rivers, and EMD's.

The Kootenay Valley Railway, which is operated as an internal short line by Canadian Pacific, lies across British Columbia’s southern interior as it stretches through some of the Province’s most spectacular scenery. From SD40-2’s dominating the mainline, to yard switchers climbing 4.2% grades, Elevation Media has extensively captured the railway across the system. Follow the KVR’s only train “The Hot Shot” starting from Cranbrook as it travels to Nelson, along the Kootenay River to Castlegar, and then following the Columbia River to Trail. Watch the yard crew in Castlegar switching along the Robson Spur, and the Trail Switcher as it battles some of the most tortures grades in North America to Warfield. Also covered in the program is a bonus feature on the Nelson Electric Tramway operations with streetcar #23.

Monthly Survey and Poll Question - September 2nd, 2011

We've added a monthly survey and poll question to the website. First we would like to ask you how you found the website. If you could take the time to give us your answer it would be much appreciated!

Secondly, we are thinking of filming some action on Canadian Pacific's mainline near the end of September and we want your opinion of what subdivision you would be more interested in being documented.  The options include all the subdivisions from Vancouver east to Calgary.
